The Castec Rural Supplies Pioneers today announced that new import Keaton Jackson has been released due to personal reasons.

Following discussions with Head Coach Richard Hill on Saturday, it was decided it was best for Keaton to leave as soon as practical and return to his home in Portland, Oregon. Keaton had answered the club’s call to replace Angus Brandt at short notice.

Whist hampered by foul trouble he showed his capabilities with 2 thunderous dunks in the Pioneers win over Canberra at the “Icehouse” on Friday night. The Club has already begun its search for a replacement.

“We have been in contact with a number of players and agents and will be able to find a replacement quickly”. “We will need to play without an import for a few games whilst we get this sorted” Head Coach Richard Hill said.

The Pioneers take on arch rival Bendigo and former Pioneers Damian Johnson this Friday night at the Ice House.
